Course Description
These three days course covers the principles and practices for effective Port Cargo Terminal Traffic Management. Participants will be equipped with skills to improve traffic management and overall safety in all the terminals operations. Traffic incidents are a serious problem at cargo terminals, where heavy equipment is used to load and unload ships and move freight from place to place in the terminal.
The work is fast-paced, conducted at any time of the day or year, and often performed in inclement weather. Vehicular traffic endangers any worker walking in a cargo terminal. Traffic Officers will be exposed to the global standard designs and implementations of traffic-safety programs for vehicle and pedestrian safety. This will include providing safe equipment, establishing safe traffic controls in all areas of the terminal, and training workers to operate vehicles safely.
This will help the entire organization and individuals avoid traffic incidents and prevent or reduce work-related fatalities and injuries. Target Participants This course is designed for terminal traffic managers, operators of vehicles and cargo-handling equipment, mechanics, repair crews, ship’s crews, and over-the-road (OTR) truck drivers Course duration 3 days What you will learn By the end of this course the participants will be able to:
